Nothing upfront. Swan Estates works on commission, which means we only get paid when you get paid. We take a percentage of the total sales, and you keep the rest. The exact split depends on the size and scope of the estate, and we'll go over all of that during your free valuation. No surprises.
Nearly everything. Furniture, art, jewelry, china, glassware, tools, appliances, clothing, books, collectibles, sporting goods, vehicles -- if it has value, we can sell it. You'd be surprised what buyers are looking for. We'll evaluate everything during the walkthrough and let you know what's worth including.
From our first walkthrough to sale day is typically two to three weeks, depending on the size of the estate. The sale itself runs two to three days. After the sale, we handle remaining items and settle up quickly. Most families are completely done within a month.
Not at all. In fact, most clients prefer not to be. Our team handles everything on-site -- foot traffic, transactions, security, customer questions, all of it. We keep you updated throughout the sale and send photos so you know exactly what's happening. You're welcome to stop by, but you don't need to.
We'll discuss your options before the sale even starts. Unsold items can be donated to local charities, removed by a cleanout service, or kept -- whatever you prefer. Many clients choose donation for the tax benefit and convenience. We coordinate everything so you don't have to deal with it.
